Beginning as a game that we would play occasionally in 6th grade math, Rectangle Tetris is a game that takes a spin on the classic game of Tetris by introducing a dice roll. The game begins with a grid of nine by seventeen boxes, two dice are then rolled and the values become the length and width of a rectangle. The player then selects a location to place the rectangle and continues to repeat the steps until there is no extra room. The goal is to fill in the entire grid leaving no empty boxes. Because of the way the game operates, a very high score is just as hard to get as a very low score, so don’t be upset if you don’t do well.
